Design System
The design system holds your organization’s brand. The agent follows it for every artifact it creates: reports, questionnaires, mapping documents, status updates, dashboards and slide decks. The theme also applies to every view, shared link and download of an artifact, so a brand change reaches existing artifacts too. Admins manage it in Settings → Design system. Every part is optional.
Without a design system, artifacts use the superglue design: the Crimson Text serif for headlines, Inter for text, near-black and grey tones, and the superglue logo in the document header. Color and font roles that you leave empty keep their superglue values.
What it holds
Section titled “What it holds”- Colors: one color per role, such as page background, text, primary, accent and links, plus up to eight chart colors and a corner radius.
- Typography: the fonts for headings, body text and code, each with a fallback. Upload WOFF2, WOFF, TTF or OTF files to embed a font that readers do not have installed.
- Layout and components: the header, cards, KPI tiles, headings, tables, buttons, spacing and bullets, plus optional custom CSS for what the options cannot express.
- Logos: the primary organization logo, a variant for dark backgrounds and an icon. The agent places the logo in the header of artifacts, playbooks and slides; a square logo shows as a small mark next to your organization name.
- Guidelines: written rules for layout, voice, naming, number and date formats, and charts. The agent reads them for every artifact.
- Templates: HTML templates that the agent copies and fills, one Word template that styles every Word download, and one PowerPoint template that is the master for every deck download. A new Word or PowerPoint template replaces the current one.
- References: brand books, sample reports and decks. The agent reads their text for tone, structure and terminology. It cannot read images or scanned PDFs yet.
Set it up
Section titled “Set it up”- Open Settings → Design system.
- Select Import from website and enter your company website. superglue reads its colors, fonts, font files, logos, corner radius and component style and proposes a draft. Uncheck what you do not want, then select Apply. Apply saves at once.
- Adjust colors, fonts and guidelines, and upload logos, font files, templates and references. Every change saves automatically. The preview on the right shows a sample document and a sample slide with your changes.
- Give every template a short Use for description, such as “Weekly client status reports”. The agent picks templates by this description.
You can also ask the agent: “Set up our design system from our brand book”. Attach the brand book, logo files, fonts and templates to the message. The agent can also import your website and change every part later, such as “Use a filled header band and uppercase headings” or “Reset the design system to the superglue default”. The agent proposes each change and saves it after you approve.
How artifacts use it
Section titled “How artifacts use it”- The agent loads the design system whenever it creates or edits an artifact, and starts from a matching template when one exists.
- Every view, shared link and export applies the theme: HTML, PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint downloads.
- Word downloads use the Word template’s styles, page setup, header and footer.
- Ask the agent for a slide deck to get slides you can share as a link or download as PDF or as an editable PowerPoint file that uses your PowerPoint template.
Every artifact also shows a small “Made with superglue” mark at the end of a document, in the footer of PDF and Word pages, on each slide, and in the print footer of spreadsheets.
